Cello, since I was six.
Decades of training, a run of orchestras and studio sessions, and a practice that has never stopped.
A minute with the cello.
A quick clip from a recent gig.
Notable teachers along the way.
I started at six, and studied with a series of respected teachers through the years: John Sant’Ambrogio, Marc Johnson, Ron Leonard, Charles Wendt, and Tanya Carey.
Orchestras and studio work.
I’ve played with regional orchestras and spent plenty of hours in the studio.
Orchestras
Cedar Rapids Symphony (now Orchestra Iowa), Quad Cities Symphony, and The Muny Orchestra.
Studio Work
Recording sessions at Phat Buddha and SmithLee Productions.
Teaching, bands, and Breckenridge.
The training never really stops being useful. These days it shows up in a few places.
I teach private cello students. I play with bands doing Americana and covers. And I collaborate regularly with other local artists in Breckenridge, Colorado, the same instinct for craft and creativity that runs through everything else I do.
